MRCGP and I’m fully qualified to administer botulinum toxin – otherwise known as Botox, Azzalure, Dysport and Xeomin. As a trained eye and oculoplastic surgeon I adhere to the highest standards possible. Did you know that botulinum toxin treatment is licensed for conditions such as migraine and teeth grinding (bruxism)? You may be able to get these treatments on the NHS, but if not, please feel free to book in with me and I'll be happy to treat you. I'm also an expert in facial microtox... before this was even 'a thing'.
Why Botulinum Toxin Injections with EdenMed?
Wrinkles on our foreheads and around the eyes are formed by our facial muscles. So, BTX injections can reduce their appearance. How? Through temporarily stopping the signals from facial nerves from communicating with the muscle.
These injections are safe, but only in the hands of a fully qualified and experienced doctor, like me. I know where, and how to place each injection to avoid the risk of side-effects and for good results. But, as with all medical cosmetic treatments, there is no such thing as a “risk free” procedure. Please feel free to ask me any questions at all during your consultation.

As mentioned, the effects are temporary. You’ll need top ups every 3-4 months. The good news: over a longer period of treatments, your facial muscles may well stop “working” quite so hard, so the gaps between top ups could be longer. Nevertheless, I can’t guarantee this.
Please may I ask you not to consider this treatment from an unqualified practitioner, and NOT even to think about a “Botox party”? In the wrong hands, your wellbeing could be at risk.
Afterwards
I’ll provide you with full information and guidance, but the main pointers will be to allow the substance to work its magic:
- Stay upright for the first 4 hours.
- No rubbing or massaging the treated area for 24 hours.
- A gentle walk is fine; a vigorous work out within 24 hours – not recommended.
- No alcohol for 24 hours.
Don’t be alarmed. Results are not immediate. You’re likely to see the final results within 10 days or so.

Side Effects

As a medical doctor, I have the expertise and experience you need to minimise any side effects. However, I’d be remiss not to advise that there could be issues – not just aesthetically but also medically. Talk to me about these and I’ll give you all the information you need.
However, should you develop muscle weakness, vision or breathing problems, or have trouble swallowing or speaking, please seek immediate medical attention. Such risks are incredibly rare when administered by experienced hands, however, not unheard of.
