Microneedling

Skin Microneedling with Mesotherapy

Microneedling is exceptional at improving skin health and vibrancy

Microneedling alone is a great way to increase skin quality. It works by inducing microtrauma to the skin. For even better results, we routinely incla pre-treatment antioxidant serum and post treatment mesotherapy masque.

What about the Mesotherapy part?

Mesotherapy is the term used to infuse the skin with nutrients, vitamins and trace elements that boost skin function. Skin is a natural barrier, that's it function. There's only so much that creams and lotions can do. Don't get me wrong, having the right skin routine for your individual skin type is essential, and Annie will be hapy to advise and recommend a skin program for you, delving right down into you nutritional status. But, by first microneedling the skin using an antioxident serum and then applying the mesotherapy masque, the nutrients, vitamins and mineral can get right to where they're needed.

So you get even better results!

The Aesthetics Behind Microneedling with Mesotherapy

What do you think is the first thing you notice when you see some else?

Their clothes? Their hair? Their wrinkles?

You'll notice all those, of course. But subconsciously, within miliseconds, you'll notice their shape. There are a few other things you'll subconsciously notice. which starts to form a picture of that person. One of those things, fairly early in the cascade, is the quality of their skin. High quality, vibrant skin is a hallmark of youth, health and beauty. Certainly, beauty is not just skin deep. But it's an important aspect.

Important Information – How it Works,

Pros

The treatment is quick (about 25 minutes), comfortable and very effective when paired with mesotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma, or BroadBand Light Phototherapy.

Microneedling provides both short- and long-term benefits. “There is an immediate result that people describe as a ‘glow’ to their skin, which is actually mostly related to temporary increases in blood flow,” says Annie, EdenMed's expert in skin care, "longer-term, the results of collagen production take effect, and skin health is improved. Ideally you should look at microneedling as part of your skin care maintenance therapy every four to eight weeks."

The treatment can be customized to treat localized problem areas, such as acne scars, dark under-eye circles, crow’s feet, and neck or chest lines.

Recovery time is usually just a few days, depending on your treatment intensity.

Though it’s mostly used on the face, neck, chest, and hands, microneedling can be done all over the body.

A majority of RealSelf members say their treatment was “Worth It.” Many appreciate that it is quie comfortable and report firmer, more evenly toned skin.

Cons

Microneedling results are extremely technique-dependent. Inexperienced providers or DIY at-home devices can damage your skin and even leave scars. Annie is an expert in skin care with certified qualifications in microneedling. She's been having microneedling herself for years and truly believes in the benefits it offers.

Other potential complications include infection and hyper/hypopigmentation. It's important microneedling is performed properly and not too aggressively.

While the treatment can help with mild skin laxity, particularly around the eyes and jawline, it can’t significantly lift and tighten skin. You should see Dr. Sam for PDO threads and Platelet Risch Plasma for this. Or speak to Annie about a course of Sciton BBL Skintyte II, which is very effective.

Skin will be sensitive to the sun post-treatment, and direct UV exposure should be avoided.

The treatment can trigger cold sores. So please mention is you suffer from these. It is worth using aciclovir ointment for a few days before and after treatment in this scenario.
