Edenmed Aesthetics temple filler treatments are tailored for each individual client to enhance lift, youthfulness and shape. The temples are an often forgotten area of facial rejuvenation. Have you ever noticed older individuals and how their faces seem to lack volume in certain areas, particularly the temples? The face is constracted a bit like a quilted sheet. There are pads of fat and muscle and encasing those pads is a fibrous support structure keeping everything where it shoud be. In children, the various elements of the pads and support tissues are in perfect balance. As we age we lose the well defined fat pads in our faces, the fibrous support tissues start to sag and droop and that is what contributes to more mature, older looking faces. The temple is an area particularly prone to this aging process.
How does it work?
Temple fillers work by way of two mechanisms, firstly they volumise the temple hollow by directly filling the space and 'replacing' the lost fat pads in that area. This has the instant effect of reversing some of the outward signs of aging. Secondly, by virtue that the whole face is connected and held together by the 'quilted' effect of the fbrous tissue, it makes sense that if you lift the quilt at the upper corners, you lift the whole structure. Therefore, the whole face is lifted by the one simple procedure. Temple fillers are routinely ecorporated in the NefertitiSculpt liquid face lift.
What fillers are used?
At EdenMed Aesthetics we use a combination of hyalurinic acid fillers. Typically for cheek enhancement this is a filler with high G'1
meaning that the filler has high elasticity and holds it shape very well to lift and enhance the cheeks.
Is it safe?
Dr. Sam uses a needle technique to volumise and lift the temples. The technique is based on scientific research regarding the very best technical approach for safety and effectiveness. The technique was taught to Dr. Sam in Miami, Florida by a Professor of anatomy and has a proven safety record. As with any procedure, there is a smal chance of complications such as infection, bleeding or bruising, but the chances of these happening is less than 1 in 500 at EdenMed Aesthetics and Rejuvenation clinics.
What's the down time?
Generally speaking there is no down time and you will see results immediately after treatment. Final results will be about 6 weeks later. You can resume normal activities just a couple of hours after treatment.

The treatment begins with a detailed discussion and analysis of your concerns and aspirations. Dr. Sam will observe your facial contours and talk to you about areas you may not be aware of which contribute to the concern you raise. Often treating an area away from the perceived problem will result in the best aesthetic outcome. This can be especially true when combining a variety of treatments, such as using anti-wrinkle treatment and fillers, or using fillers in combinations of treatment areas, such as cheek and tear trough. Dr. Sam will use the same meticulous approach to your filler treatment that he would if operating. Your skin will be cleansed and a numbing cream applied. Dermal filler can then be administered predominantly using an advanced blunt microcannula technique. Other techniques may be adopted depending on the desired end result.
The results of dermal cheek fillers treatment are visible immediately although there may be some swelling which will settle over the next few days. The outcome lasts for 12 to 18 months. For the first few days you may experience a mild degree of discomfort whilst chewing. This is due to filler being placed below the temporalis muscle and stretching it a little. Any discofort settles quickly.
